Ongoing Health

Bam Bam is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. His spay/neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. Adopters must be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach to complete this procedure with our approved clinics.

Training & Support

We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog's age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership.

• Our evaluative process prioritizes animals in need and includes a vet reference check and a virtual home visit.
• For resident dogs, a vet reference check requires they be altered, up to date on DHPP/rabies, and on monthly preventatives.
• For resident cats, a vet reference check requires they be altered and up to date on rabies.
