After a difficult start in life, he's still building confidence and discovering what it means to simply be a dog. Every day, Cowboy takes small steps forward, learning to trust, enjoy affection, and embrace the comforts of a caring home. While he may be shy at first, patience and kindness go a long way with this sweet boy. Watching Cowboy come out of his shell and experience new things is incredibly rewarding. He is looking for a calm, understanding family that will give him the time he needs to continue his journey and become the loyal companion he's meant to be. He has had positive interactions with dogs, but his interactions with cats are a "No". His interactions with children under 8 and children 8 and up are unknown.
