Ridge

Ridge is a wonderfully sunny and social 8-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who truly has a zest for life! He is playful, gregarious, and genuinely happy to be around people, other dogs, and even cats. While he's still a puppy, he's growing into a large and opinionated adult dog, so his adopter must understand the breed and be prepared to offer consistent structure. Ridge approaches life with enthusiasm, finding joy in his canine companions, the people in his life, and even tolerating cats. His only known nemesis is the Roomba, which he views as a "demonic floor creature" to be distrusted!

Ideal Home

Ridge would thrive in a home with children over 10 years old, as he is still learning to manage his size and energy. He also requires a fenced yard and is not suited for apartment living or a lifestyle solely reliant on leash walks. This is a breed that requires commitment and understanding of their size and needs.

Ridge is a young, healthy dog.

Training & Support

As a young, large puppy, Ridge is still learning to use both his brain and body. He is eager to please and ready for a home that will provide him with guidance, clear boundaries, and plenty of space to play. Bonus points if you can help him come to terms with the Roomba!

Ridge is located at our rescue facility in Virginia. We do offer transport to approved adopters in many states.
