Rye is an estimated 2-year-old Labrador Retriever mix weighing 56 lbs and ready to bring sunshine and laughter into your life! He's a goofy, affectionate boy with a smile that will melt your heart. Rye loves to be close to his people, whether he's snuggling up at your feet or giving you a playful hug. He greets everyone like an old friend and approaches each day with pure joy. Rye is eager to please and has already learned that sitting earns him more praise than jumping, showing great promise for continued good manners with a little polishing.

Ideal Home

Rye would thrive in a home with an adopter who enjoys playtime, walks, and a structured routine. He's happy in an apartment with plenty of exercise and enrichment, but a house with a yard would be a dream come true.

Ongoing Health

Rye is a young, healthy dog. His adoption fee includes all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and a microchip.

Training & Support

Rye is working on his leash skills and can be a bit enthusiastic on walks, but he responds well to corrections and loves treats, making him a quick learner. He can get a little jumpy when excited, but this is easily managed with positive reinforcement.

Transporation

Rye is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
