Uno's life before rescue was heartbreaking. He had been locked away in a back room — forgotten, neglected, and slowly wasting away. His meals were inconsistent, and water was a rare luxury. His former owners claimed he “threw up when he drank,” so instead of proper hydration, they’d give him ice cubes... when they remembered. In just two months, this once-chunky boy withered to skin and bones. Thankfully, someone noticed his suffering and reached out for help. And even though we were already overwhelmed, we couldn’t turn away — because Uno deserves so much more than to be discarded and ignored. Since arriving, Uno has had a warm bath, a nail trim, all necessary medical treatment, and most importantly, love. He’s on high-calorie food to help him regain his strength, and he’s now safe at a kennel. Uno is strong, affectionate, and happiest when he’s close to someone who cares. At the kennel, he calmly walks past other dogs without issue. He enjoys walks (though he could use a little leash training) and absolutely adores belly rubs. Uno’s journey has just begun, but his heart is already full of hope — and he’s ready to share that love with his future family.
