Meet Joanie – a gentle soul ready to love big! At just 1.5 years old and around 52 pounds, this sweet Hound mix has already overcome so much. She greets the world with a soft spirit, kind eyes, and so much love to give. Joanie currently lives with four other dogs of all sizes and fits in beautifully. She has wonderful house manners, is fully potty trained and crate trained, and truly enjoys the comfort and routine of home life. She’s the kind of dog who will happily curl up nearby after a long day, just content to be close to her people.
Ideal Home
Joanie gets along well with dogs, cats, and older children. New experiences can make her a little shy at first—especially around unfamiliar men—but once she feels safe, her loving and loyal personality shines through. Because she spent the first few months of her life outdoors in a busy, chaotic environment, Joanie sometimes takes a little extra time to feel secure. She doesn’t need perfection—just patience, kindness, and a family willing to let her bloom at her own pace.
Ongoing Health
Joanie is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She also completed heartworm treatment and has recovered beautifully.
Training & Support
Joanie is fully potty trained and crate trained. While she may be a little shy around new people, especially unfamiliar men, once she feels safe, her affectionate and loyal personality shines through. Patience and kindness will help her continue to bloom.
