A little about them
Gypsy is a silly, social, affectionate 7–8-month-old Boxer/Pittie mix with a big personality and unforgettable expressions. She loves people, attention, playtime, and other dogs, and she can also settle down for a relaxing nap when the fun is over. She weighs 28 pounds and is expected to be around 35 pounds full grown.
Ideal Home
Gypsy would thrive with an active, loving family and may be a wonderful companion for another young, playful dog. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and could enjoy doggy daycare and social adventures. She is friendly and non-reactive toward people and dogs on walks, though she can be bashful when first meeting someone. Treats and gentle encouragement help her warm up.
She has attended a 5K with more than 500 people and a trick-or-treating event with more than 1,000 people, doing amazingly well at both. She is gentle, docile, and affectionate once comfortable. Gypsy is not an escape artist or a hole digger and can be contained by a 4-foot chain-link fence.
Ongoing Health
The $350 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchipping, rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, a 4DX test, deworming, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention. Her fee also supports medical care for other rescue animals.
Training & Support
Gypsy is crate trained and does well staying crated for a typical 8-hour workday. She holds her potty overnight and while crated during the day, though she is not yet 100% potty trained and will need continued consistency and positive reinforcement. She rides well in the car, is great for grooming, accepts handling of her toes, mouth, ears, and tail, and takes treats gently. She knows “sit” and is working on being less mouthy and not jumping when excited.
She can self-entertain or nap beside someone working from home and is not loud or overly demanding. Continued training, patience, and consistency will help her keep growing into a well-rounded companion.
