About Yogi Bear

Yogi might be the loyal, easygoing, and quietly devoted companion you've been searching for! This 5-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei mix weighs around 63 pounds and has a beautiful chestnut coat with a sweet, wrinkled face that always looks like she's smiling. Yogi has a calm and grounded presence, forming strong bonds with her people. She's the kind of dog who simply wants to be near you, offering her quiet company.

Yogi is friendly and loving, though she may take a moment to warm up to new faces. Once she feels comfortable, she's affectionate, fun, and incredibly easy to be around. She’s a dog who settles in quickly and becomes a seamless part of your daily routine.

Ideal Home

Yogi would thrive in a home where she can be a close part of your world. She would do best with older, respectful children.

Ongoing Health

Yogi is currently heartworm positive and has started treatment. She will need a committed adopter who can continue her care. Otherwise, she is a healthy and wonderful dog.

Training & Support

Yogi is fully potty trained and crate trained, settling easily in her crate. She walks well on a leash with only occasional reminders. She's a low-maintenance and adaptable dog with a moderate energy level; she enjoys daily walks and playtime but is equally happy relaxing at home. She would do well in a house or apartment as long as she gets regular exercise. Yogi can be a bit selective with other dogs, doing best with calmer, easygoing canine companions and preferring one-on-one interactions over busy group settings. She can also thrive as an only dog. She has been exposed to cats and did well with them.
