Smokey is a charming 2-year-old male Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix, weighing 60 pounds. He arrived as a stray and is now fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, eagerly awaiting his forever family. Smokey's days are filled with playful romps with his foster siblings, but he's equally content to snuggle on the couch and enjoy a good show. He's a smart, quick learner who is incredibly submissive and kind-hearted. Smokey is ready to shower his new family with love and affection!
Ideal Home
Smokey would thrive in a home without cats. He would also do best in a home with a doggie companion, as he loves playing with other dogs. Due to his shyness with new people, Smokey would do well in a low-traffic home. He would love a home with someone who works from home or is only away from the home for a few hours a day, as he experiences some separation anxiety.
Ongoing Health
Smokey is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.
Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained and prefers not to be crated. While he will settle in a crate for rest, he doesn't enjoy being shut inside. He does experience some separation anxiety, which can include crying when left alone, but he doesn't engage in destructive behavior and eventually calms down. He walks great on a leash, though he may pull slightly out of excitement when first starting out, but he calms quickly and walks nicely by your side. He can be a little nervous around strangers and may bark out of excitement, but he is easily redirected.
