Radiance

Radiance, a young, 8-pound female Chihuahua, is a true survivor who came to us in critical condition. She was emaciated, dehydrated, and suffered severe injuries with exposed bones, along with multiple infections. Thanks to dedicated care, Radiance has been spayed, had toes amputated, and has gained a healthy amount of weight. She is pee pad trained and also eliminates outside. While she does okay in a crate, occasional accidents can happen. Radiance has a hearty appetite, which is understandable given her past. She is good with other pets and enjoys car rides. Radiance walks differently than other dogs and will require assistance with stairs. Children make her a bit nervous, but with time and patience, she can learn to coexist. Radiance is a special dog who needs a special commitment, but her capacity for love is immense and she is worth every effort. Finding a Chihuahua who accepts strangers is a wonderful thing!

Ideal Home

Radiance will need a home that can help her with stairs and understand her unique gait. Children make her nervous, so a home where she can learn to coexist with them over time or a home without young children would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Radiance has undergone significant medical care, including having toes amputated. She will require ongoing care and understanding of her physical needs due to past injuries.

Training & Support

Radiance is pee pad trained and also potties outside. She may have occasional accidents in her crate. She loves food, so be mindful of her portions.
