Solstice

Solstice is a young dog who is filled with sweetness but terribly unsure of herself. It is evident she had a difficult start to life, arriving into our program with eight puppies in tow. Her journey hasn't been easy, and she is currently recovering from heartworm. Now that her puppies have found their forever homes, it's Solstice's turn! She is quiet but full of love, and while shy with new people, she shows a strong eagerness to be friends with every human and most dogs she meets. Cats make her terribly nervous, so a home without feline companions would be ideal. A gentle hand and some solid patience will allow Solstice to bloom into the amazing dog she truly is.

Ideal Home

A quieter home with a steady schedule would be best for Solstice, but she's not above a bit of boisterous play once she's comfortable. She is nervous around cats, so a home without them is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Solstice is heartworm positive and is currently on the road to recovery.

Training & Support

Solstice is shy with new people and will need a patient adopter to help her build confidence.
