Vanessa

Vanessa is a social puppy who loves to be the life of the party! She arrived at our shelter as a stray, and her friendly nature and wagging tail were quick to win us over. Vanessa is a sweet girl who already knows how to sit and take her treats gently. She's a great walking and hiking buddy and loves to stay close by your side. When out and about, Vanessa does get excited when she spots another dog. While she can be a little nervous when first meeting new canine friends at the shelter, she quickly becomes playful once comfortable. She's enjoyed chasing, wrestling, and being silly with several equally playful dog friends. She also ignored cats when introduced.

Ideal Home

Vanessa would thrive in an active home where she can continue to build her confidence. We are unsure how she would do with children.

Ongoing Health

Vanessa is heartworm negative and will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped before going to her new home.

Training & Support

Vanessa is working on her leash reactivity when she sees other dogs. She will benefit from continued socialization and positive reinforcement training to help her feel secure in new situations.

Vanessa is located at the Animal Protection League in Anderson, IN. Transportation to approved adopters may be available.
