Meet Cody! 🐾

Cody is a handsome Golden Retriever who's looking for a very special forever home where he can truly shine. He came back to Tattered Paws for a fresh start after his previous adopter returned him. Unfortunately, he didn't get the structure he needed in his first home, which resulted in a bite history.

The great news is that Cody has already made fantastic progress! He successfully completed a board-and-train program and is currently with a wonderful foster who is continuing his work with a professional trainer. Cody is a smart boy, eager to learn, and loves to stay active. With the right guidance, he has so much potential to live a happy and balanced life.

Ideal Home

Cody needs an experienced and committed adopter who can provide him with structure, leadership, and ongoing training. To ensure the best possible match, his new home must be one without children. He also requires an active lifestyle with at least 1.5 hours of daily exercise and enrichment. Adopters should also have no other dogs in the home, unless they have extensive experience with behavioral cases.

Ongoing Health

Cody has completed a board-and-train program and is continuing to work with a professional trainer.

Training & Support

Cody requires ongoing training and a commitment to working with a trainer to continue his progress.

• Adopters must agree to the Tattered Paws contract, which includes returning Cody to the rescue if the adoption does not work out.
• Under no circumstances may Cody be euthanized without first contacting the rescue.

Cody is currently in a foster home in Poulsbo, WA. Transport may be available.
