Meet Django! This bright, two-year-old mixed breed is about 50 pounds and possesses a sleek black coat with white accents. He's a smart, active companion who builds deep bonds with his people and celebrates their return home with great enthusiasm. Django thrives when he has both connection and purpose. He loves to cuddle and lean in for affection, often curling up for a cozy nap near the fireplace once he feels comfortable and safe.
Adventure is equally important to him! Django absolutely loves toys of every kind and enjoys playing fetch. He also enjoys walks, runs, and swimming, proudly carrying a stick or ball as if it's his special job for the day. His intelligence shines through in his love for training and learning. Django already knows many cues, including sit, stay, down, come, heel, place, leave it, drop it, no bark, and "ok" as a release cue. Practicing these skills with positive reinforcement helps keep his mind engaged and happy.

Django would thrive in a quieter, child-free and cat-free home, likely as the only dog. He needs an active family who understands reactive dogs and enjoys training.

Django does experience fear-based reactivity in certain situations. He can feel uncertain around unfamiliar noises, unexpected distractions, or dogs encountered while walking on leash. He also has a history of resource guarding with another dog around food, toys, or personal space. Meeting guests outside first and allowing him to warm up helps him feel secure. With structure, exercise, and patient guidance, he continues to grow in confidence.
