MISTY

Misty is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix who was found as a stray in O’Fallon on 5/25/26. She is a young, intelligent, and energetic girl who is still learning how to channel her drive in the best ways. In the kennel, Misty can present as very high energy, but once outside she becomes much more balanced and manageable. She walks very nicely on leash, is food motivated, and takes treats gently. She also shows polite, appropriate interest in other dogs when greeting them along the fence. Misty is a smart working-breed type dog who will thrive in a home that understands her need for both physical and mental enrichment. She would benefit greatly from structure, routine, and engaging activities that give her a job to do. With the right outlets and guidance, Misty has all the potential to be a wonderful, well-balanced companion.
