Buckaroo Samboy DFW

Buckaroo Samboy is a wonderful 3.5 to 4-year-old Great Pyrenees mix who is ready to find his forever home! He's a good 'ol boy who gets along famously with his foster siblings, both canine and feline, as well as the resident goats and all humans. Buck enjoys leash walks and car rides, but his heart truly lies outdoors. He thrives with the freedom to come and go as he pleases and can become stressed if confined for too long.

Ideal Home

Buckaroo Samboy would love a home with a doggie door, allowing him to enjoy his preference for outdoor living. He needs a home with secure fencing that includes anti-dig barriers, as he has a history of testing fences by pushing, crawling under, or digging a bit to find an escape route.

Ongoing Health

Buckaroo Samboy has a history of poorly healed fractures in his rear long bones, indicating he likely experienced repeated fractures, with at least one caused by a bullet. These injuries mean he cannot climb or jump fences.

Training & Support

Buckaroo Samboy generally moves slowly and has good recall. He currently wears a tracker so his fosters always know his location on the property.
