Meet Chico, a charming 6-year-old Chihuahua mix who's ready for his next adventure! Chico came to us when his previous family lost their housing and could no longer keep him. Through no fault of his own, he's now looking for a loving forever home. Chico has handled this transition with grace and has settled beautifully into his foster care. He's a practical pup who believes that if there are people to love, dogs to meet, and a comfy place to sleep, life is pretty good!
Ideal Home
Chico has done wonderfully with other dogs in his foster home and would likely enjoy canine companions in his new family. He's a sweet, steady boy who could fit into many different types of homes. He's house-trained and leash-trained, and he learned to use the doggy door almost immediately!
Ongoing Health
Chico is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. He has been neutered.
Training & Support
Chico is a very adaptable dog who has handled major life changes with resilience. He's an easy dog to have around, enjoys attention, and likes being part of the household. He's happy to relax at home, spend time with his people, or explore the yard.

- Our adoption process includes a thorough application review to ensure the best match for both animal and adopter, veterinary reference verification (when applicable), and adoption fees that help cover veterinary care, food, and rescue operations.
- All animals adopted through us are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped prior to adoption. Dogs are also heartworm tested.
- We require that current pets are spayed or neutered (with documented medical exceptions) and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Transporation
Chico is currently in Oswego County, New York. We are a foster-based rescue, and transportation may be available to approved adopters within a reasonable distance.
