JETHRO

Jethro is a four-month-old mixed breed puppy who has truly blossomed in foster care! He came to us as a stray, a bit underweight and needing some TLC, but he's now healthy, happy, and ready to find his forever home. Jethro is a delight with everyone he meets, even charming the vet staff enough to fall asleep during his appointment! He's also a good boy around other dogs, showing respect for his foster siblings, even the ones who aren't typically keen on puppies. He's very attentive to his human companions and is already picking up on cues and commands, showing great potential for learning.

Ideal Home

Jethro would thrive in a home that can provide him with ongoing training and socialization, including puppy classes. He's expected to do well with respectful children and, with proper introductions, should also be a good fit for homes with cats and other animals. Due to his breed mix (51% Boerboel, 24% Rhodesian Ridgeback, with other bully breeds), we are seeking an adopter who has experience with and knowledge of these breeds.

Ongoing Health

Jethro has been vetted, microchipped, and has received two of his three DHPP vaccines. He will be adopted on a neuter contract, with the procedure required by 9 months of age. The rescue will cover the cost of the neutering, up to a specified amount.

Training & Support

Jethro is a smart pup who is eager to please and is already picking up on commands. Continued training and puppy classes will be essential for his development.
