This cutie is Thunder! He's approximately 10 months old and weighs around 40 pounds. We believe he might be a Pit Bull or Lab Retriever mix, but in rescue, it's always a mystery! What's not a mystery is how adorable he is and how much he needs a loving home. Puppies in Thunder's area are at high risk, and by choosing him, you're not only saving his life but also making space for another dog in need.
Thunder is a playful, sweet, curious, and incredibly cuddly pup. He's a social butterfly who adores everyone he meets and thrives on companionship. He's a champion at fetch and is just as happy to snuggle up after a good play session. Thunder lives with three cats and gets along wonderfully with them. He already knows "sit" and "wait," is crate trained, and potty trained, making him a true joy in his foster home. He'd love a home with outdoor space where he can play, explore, and enjoy his favorite sunbathing sessions.

Thunder is a healthy puppy. All vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm preventatives, and microchip, is up-to-date.
Training & Support
Thunder is still young and will need a family committed to continued training, socialization, and the time and patience puppyhood requires. Consistent routine, structure, boundaries, and positive social experiences are key to raising a confident, well-rounded adult dog. We do require adopters to continue crate training upon arrival home, as it supports potty training, energy management, and long-term success.

Transporation
Thunder is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. There is an $87 surcharge for transport. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
