Elbow Macaroni

Elbow Macaroni is a sweet and sensitive 3-year-old, 28lb tan and white boy who takes a little time to build trust and make friends. He can be worried about new people, new surroundings, and touch, preferring to take things at his own pace. Elbow Macaroni is a fiend for food, and snacks are a great way to win him over! He has been working with the Behavior team and is looking for a special home that understands his needs.

Ideal Home

Elbow Macaroni would flourish in a calm, low-traffic, adult-only home. He may do best with another dog to help boost his confidence and play with, but he needs to go to a home without cats or other small animals. He is not for first-time dog owners and needs someone very familiar with canine body language. He has a history of escaping doors or fences, so he will need supervision outdoors or to be on-leash for all adventures.

Training & Support

Elbow Macaroni can be overwhelmed by overhandling, restraint, or touch, and may exhibit his discomfort in various ways. He needs a dog-savvy home experienced with shy and fearful dogs. He is still learning to walk on leash, especially in new environments, and will need verbal encouragement, patience, and treats.
