Trix is an 8-month-old, 35-pound Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul, though she's a bit shy. She and her brother were surrendered to a shelter, and Trix, being the more reserved one, needed extra time in foster care to build her confidence. She's fearful of humans due to early undersocialization but has never shown any reactivity. Instead, she looks for a safe space to hide when unsure. Trix is incredibly quiet, observant, and a quick learner. She figured out the doggy door in just a couple of days and is always eager to learn. With patience and trust-building, she'll begin to soften and might even surprise you by playing with toys or joining in with other dogs. She's gentle and just needs a loving environment to blossom.
Ideal Home
Trix needs a home where someone is around most of the time, as she's still a puppy and requires consistent interaction to build trust. She would likely thrive with a confident canine companion to learn from, but adopters without another dog should have a plan for socialization and confidence-building.
Ongoing Health
Trix is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She is housebroken and crate-trained.
Training & Support
Trix is learning to walk on a leash. While she has been around children and was initially shy, she is very quiet. Her history with cats is unknown. She is a diamond in the rough who will require patience, compassion, and commitment.
