About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old pup, guessed to be a Doberman or Beauceron mix. She currently weighs 45 lbs and is estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. Coraline is a delightful blend of sweet, curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining. Her quirky charm brings laughter to her foster family daily, especially with her favorite game of peek-a-boo, which often ends in happy zoomies. She's deeply people-oriented and loves to be near her humans, following them like a shadow and showing affection through sweet puppy kisses or a gentle paw. Coraline has a wonderfully calm and balanced temperament, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. She's happy to entertain herself quietly with toys or a chew bone, and she's also incredibly social with both people and other dogs, greeting new friends calmly before continuing her explorations. Coraline is the perfect mix of playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – your little sidekick and best friend all in one!
Ideal Home
Coraline is low to medium energy, with occasional bursts of puppy zoomies. She enjoys leisurely walks, backyard play, and cozy evenings on the couch. She'll be happiest in a home that embraces a mix of adventure and relaxation. Her intelligent and curious nature means she loves puzzle toys, treat-dispensing games, and various other toys to keep her happy and entertained. While she's gaining confidence in busy public areas, she has the potential to become an amazing outdoor adventure buddy with continued exposure and socialization. Coraline would thrive in a home with a fenced yard for safe play. Due to her size and potential nervousness in busy areas, she's not suited for apartments or condos. She needs her human home more often than not, but occasional doggy daycare would be fine.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is currently up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and any necessary vet care while in rescue.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained, sleeping soundly in her kennel at night, though she enjoys sleeping in bed with her foster mom. She uses doggy stairs to get on and off the bed and is learning to sleep at the foot of the bed or in a dog bed nearby. She readily enters her kennel for treats. While she's started leash training, she needs additional practice to build confidence on walks; she is very treat-motivated and will walk beside you with positive reinforcement. She is doing well with potty training and will alert her foster mom when she needs to go out by pacing at the back door or using a dog door. She needs to be taken out every 3-4 hours initially to establish a consistent schedule in her new home.
