Big Mama

Big Mama is an affectionate, athletic, adventure-loving 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier mix who enjoys going on walks and meeting new people! She was found weighing over 70lbs but has since reached a healthier weight of around 60lbs. Big Mama was discovered in the middle of the road and brought to safety after being placed on the euthanasia list at a local shelter. She is incredibly people-friendly and loves to cuddle, but she can be unaware of her size, especially when she's zooming around! While she enjoys lounging indoors, she becomes a ball of energy once she's outside.

Ideal Home

Big Mama would do best in a home with only male dogs, as she tends to be more assertive with female dogs. While she enjoys playtime, she does not require a canine companion to be happy. Due to her energy level and size, a home without young children is recommended.

Ongoing Health

Big Mama was previously overweight but has now reached a healthier weight.

Training & Support

Big Mama is potty and crate trained, knows "sit" and "shake," is very smart, and walks well on a leash.
