Kamoku & Kasumi

Kamoku and Kasumi are a bonded pair of sweethearts who have been together for over a decade. Kamoku is a 14-year-old, 17 lb Dachshund mix, and Kasumi is a 5-year-old, 38 lb Cairn Terrier mix who is working towards a goal weight of 22 lbs. Their devoted owner cherished them dearly, creating a decade's worth of holiday photo cards to commemorate their special bond. Sadly, when their owner's health declined and she moved into a nursing home, no one in her life stepped up to care for her beloved companions. They were surrendered to the shelter, and when separated, Kamoku lost his appetite, and Kasumi cried incessantly. These two are truly bonded and must be adopted together. When they're together, they are mellow, affectionate, and coexist calmly with other pets, including cats and children.

Ideal Home

Kamoku and Kasumi would thrive in a home that understands their deep bond and can provide them with a stable, loving environment. They are comfortable with kids, cats, and other dogs.

Kasumi is currently working towards a goal weight of 22 lbs.

Kamoku and Kasumi are currently fostered in Brooklyn, NY. They are available for local or out-of-state adoption, provided the adopter can travel to New York to meet them.
