He's not one for boisterous greetings; instead, he'll quietly observe and patiently wait for you to earn his trust. While he can be initially shy with new people and environments, a little time and understanding will reveal his sweet and loving nature. Earning his trust is incredibly rewarding, and soon you'll enjoy his peaceful companionship without any drama. He's the perfect roommate who will gently tiptoe into your heart and stay there forever.
Ideal Home
Rowan would thrive in a calm environment with patient individuals who understand that shy dogs need time to decompress and build trust. A home with a yard and a quieter setting would be ideal for him. While he hasn't been officially tested with children, older, calm children would likely be a better fit due to his nervousness around new people and loud environments. We can conduct a kid-test for interested adopters.

Rowan is a sensitive boy who needs patience and time to build trust. He has shown to be respectful and easygoing with other dogs, minding his own business and not being bothered by them. He doesn't seem interested in rough play but is comfortable sharing space.

Rowan is currently located in Texas. We offer nationwide transport through our USDA-certified rescue transport system, ensuring a safe and comfortable journey. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is available in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. A surcharge of $87 applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
