Meet Hector! This handsome boy was found wandering the streets of the Houston area, a young puppy trying to survive all alone. Thankfully, a local shelter picked him up and kept him safe until one of our amazing foster families was able to step in. Instead of growing up in a cold, loud shelter, Hector is now learning what it means to be loved while he waits for a forever family of his own. Hector is believed to be a Standard Schnauzer and is approximately 5 months old, weighing about 35 pounds. He is a playful, athletic, and eager-to-learn puppy who forms strong bonds with his people. Standard Schnauzers are intelligent, loyal, and devoted, making wonderful companions for active households, and are a breed suitable for people looking for a more hypoallergenic dog.
Ideal Home
Hector would do best with a family that enjoys spending time together and is excited to help him continue building confidence and good manners. His ideal family will include him in everyday life, provide daily walks and playtime, enjoy training and teaching him new things, and give him plenty of love, structure, and attention.
Ongoing Health
Hector is up-to-date on vaccines.
Training & Support
Hector is house trained and kennel trained. He walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. Because Standard Schnauzers are highly intelligent, Hector will thrive with positive training, daily exercise, and plenty of human interaction.
