Basil

Basil is a charming 5-year-old Shepherd/Hound mix who is ready to trade his crate for a loving home! He's affectionate, eager to please, and absolutely craves attention and connection. Basil has a wonderful personality and has lived harmoniously with cats and enjoys the company of other dogs after proper introductions. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and even loves car rides!

Ideal Home

Basil would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of attention and engagement. He enjoys the company of other dogs and has lived with cats, but might do best as the only pet or with a neutral dog companion and slow introductions.

Ongoing Health

Basil is up-to-date on core vaccinations and has received a recent health check from a veterinarian. His adoption fee includes spay/neuter, rabies and DPPV vaccinations, any indicated preventative care, and microchipping with lifetime registration.

Training & Support

Basil is house-trained and crate-trained. While he knows basic commands like "sit," "down," and "crate," his leash manners could use some polishing, especially when he spots wildlife. He's food and people motivated, making him an excellent candidate for refresher training and he would likely enjoy more intensive training sessions.
