Arc

Arc is ready for his new forever home! While his name is Arc, his foster mom calls him "Arc Angel" because everyone needs a little angel in their life. He's a very sweet 10-year-old Sheltie X who has done well with other dogs in his foster home. He LOVES daily walks and can happily walk with a pack of three other dogs. He especially enjoys visiting private parks where he can explore off-leash at his own pace. Arc can be dog-reactive in certain situations outside of his comfort zones, so trips to pet-friendly stores are not ideal for him. He sometimes sleeps on the bed but will happily choose a crate if one is available in the room.

Ideal Home

Arc would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time. He has experience with children but would be happiest in a home without children under 12.

Ongoing Health

Arc is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccines. He has a heart murmur, and an echocardiogram revealed very early degenerative valve disease. This condition is considered trivial and innocent, requiring no medication and causing no symptoms. As per his cardiologist, it is important that Arc be on a grain-containing diet.

Training & Support

Arc is reliably housetrained. He is a sweet and affectionate boy who LOVES back rubs.
