Loki is a 6.5-month-old, male Retriever/Pit Bull mix who currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. He was rescued from the woods with his mother, Wanda, and littermates. Loki is described as fearless, bold, and endlessly entertaining, approaching life with confidence and curiosity. He loves to play, especially keep-away with his toys, and is an expert climber. While he's energetic, he also enjoys snuggling and being a lap buddy after a day of adventures. He is potty trained and enjoys human company. Loki has been around children and has experience with crates.
Ideal Home
We are looking for a home that can provide ongoing positive reinforcement, consistency, and continued leash practice to help Loki mature into an exceptional adult dog. Homes with another friendly, well-mannered dog are preferred to help mentor and guide Loki. If you don't currently have another dog, we'd love to hear your plan for continued socialization through structured training classes, supervised daycare, playdates, and other safe experiences. Due to his age, we prefer homes where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Loki is potty trained but may have a few accidents as he adjusts to a new routine. He is still practicing his leash skills and basic obedience and is eager to learn. Continued socialization, reinforcement of good manners, and building his confidence are key.
