Meet Brody – a 5-year-old, 65-pound neutered male Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix with the perfect blend of playful energy and easygoing charm. He’s a lovable goofball who enjoys outdoor adventures and lazy days alike, and he’s happy to dress up for any occasion as long as he’s with his people.
Brody has done well with friendly, laid-back female dogs and might be a bit much for smaller or more timid dogs. He’s also content to be the only dog in the home, as long as he has a yard for zoomies. A home with a secure backyard is ideal for him. He's gentle with people and has done well with children, but due to his playful energy, we recommend a home with older, dog-savvy kids (8-10+) who understand how to respectfully interact with dogs. Brody would love a buddy to play with, run around the yard with, and then wind down with for snuggles. He’s not a fan of cats.
Brody is a gentleman on leash, walks calmly, and enjoys strolls. He's house-trained and crate-trained, doing wonderfully in his crate when left alone. He loves his plush toys and is eager to please. Brody is smart and food-motivated, thriving in a home with structure, consistency, and encouragement. He has made huge progress with his obedience skills. While he can get excited around assertive male dogs, with calm guidance and positive experiences, he continues to adapt well. He would be a great match for someone experienced with Cattle Dogs, Pitbulls, or other intelligent working breeds. He enjoys daily walks, light adventures, and activities like scent work, agility, or obedience classes to keep his mind sharp.
