Mox is a 3.5-month-old mutt from Yakima who is eager to find her forever family. We're not sure of her exact breed mix, but we estimate she'll be a compact 40-50lbs when fully grown. Currently, she weighs around 20lbs. Mox is a curious and adventurous pup who loves to explore. She's doing wonderfully on leash and greets everyone she meets with enthusiasm, including dogs, cats, and children. She's the perfect companion for outdoor adventures and equally content as a city/cafe dog. After playtime, walks, or enrichment activities, Mox's favorite thing is to snuggle up in your lap or rest at your feet. She's making great progress with potty training and crate training, often sleeping soundly through the night for 8-9 hours.
Ideal Home
Mox plays very well with other dogs, especially those who enjoy a vigorous play style. She would do best in a home with a confident dog who is good at setting boundaries, as Mox is still learning and can sometimes overwhelm dogs who aren't accustomed to her excited puppy energy.
Ongoing Health
Mox is a teething herding mix puppy with lots of energy.
Training & Support
Adopters should be prepared to work on nipping and bite inhibition. She is extremely food motivated and highly responsive to training. Mox already knows "sit" and "touch" very well and is currently working on "wait," "look," "down," "leave it," and "heel." Redirecting her with toys is effective, and she particularly enjoys collapsing and shredding cardboard boxes, which is a great way to help her burn off bursts of energy, often leading to a nap on her self-made cardboard bed. We believe Mox would excel in agility sports and other advanced training tasks.
