About Lilly

Meet Lilly, your future adventure buddy, couch companion, and loyal shadow!

Lilly is a 7-year-old spayed female Labrador Retriever mix, weighing in at a perfect 45 lbs. She was on the euthanasia list at a crowded shelter in Houston, Texas, but was thankfully rescued by her foster mom. Since then, Lilly has been showering her foster family with tail wags, kisses, and endless love.

Don't let her age fool you – Lilly still has plenty of energy and loves to play! She enjoys tug-of-war, chasing balls, and going on long walks. Lilly is a beautiful blend of independent and affectionate; she's happy to explore on her own but always wants to be near her humans. Her foster family describes her as curious, loyal, sweet, and a cuddle bug, earning her the nickname "velcro dog" for how closely she sticks by her people.

Lilly lives with another dog in her foster home and does well with canine companions, though she truly shines when interacting with people. She'll greet you with kisses and tail wags, and she even offers kisses to other dogs she meets on walks! Lilly has also lived with cats and can be redirected if her interest gets too intense. While she hasn't been tested with children, her loving and gentle nature suggests she would likely do well with respectful older kids.

Ideal Home

Lilly would thrive in a moderately active home with access to the outdoors. She loves to be around her people, so a home where someone is often present would be ideal. She enjoys being included in daily activities, with plenty of time for play, exploration, and snuggles.

Ongoing Health

Lilly is a spayed female.

Training & Support

Lilly is crate-trained and potty-trained. She's a polite girl who will tap the door when she needs to go outside. Lilly prefers to eat her meals separately from other dogs, but she is comfortable with people near her food.
