Sushi

Sushi is a sweet 6-year-old, 4.2 lb bundle of love with a spunky spirit! She enjoys cuddling with her humans at night and has made great progress with house training, though occasional accidents may still happen. Sushi was diagnosed with Caudal Occipital Malformation (COMS) and epilepsy, which are treatable but not curable. She is currently on Keppra, Gabapentin, and Omeprazole, and requires regular follow-ups with a neurologist. She has responded well to adjustments in her medication to manage her neurological symptoms and pain.

Ideal Home

Sushi would thrive in a home that can provide consistent medical care and follow-up appointments. Due to her medical condition, a home that can provide a calm environment and be attentive to her needs would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Sushi has Caudal Occipital Malformation (COMS) and epilepsy. She is currently managed with Keppra, Gabapentin, and Omeprazole. She has experienced episodes of neck pain and neurological symptoms which have been treated with medication adjustments and injections. Her medical needs may evolve, and ongoing veterinary care and potential advanced diagnostics like an MRI will be necessary.

Training & Support

Sushi is working on house training and may still have occasional accidents. She is a well-loved pup who is receiving the best care possible.
