If you're looking for the best boy, look no further--Kane is truly one of a kind. Kane absolutely loves people and is happiest when he's surrounded by his friends. While he'll happily make friends with both men and women, he definitely has a soft spot for the ladies. He's a total mama's boy and loves nothing more than being close to his favorite people.
Kane's past wasn't kind to him. Animal Control rescued him after he and two other dogs were left outside with no food, no shelter, and very little care. He arrived underweight and suffering from a double ear infection, which he patiently let us treat. Through it all, he has remained loving, gentle, and trusting--a true testament to his incredible spirit.
As a Great Dane/Black Lab mix, Kane is a big, goofy boy who still thinks he's a puppy. He doesn't always realize his size, so a home without small children would be best while he continues to work on his manners. He's eager to learn and just wants to make his people happy. Kane loves going for walks, running around the yard, and spending time with the people he loves most. Because of everything he's been through, being left alone is hard for him. He worries that when you leave, you might not come back. He'll need a patient family who can help him build confidence and show him that this time, he's home for good.
Kane has every reason not to trust people, yet he chooses love anyway. All he's asking for is someone who will love him back, keep their promise to him, and never let him wonder if he's been forgotten again.
