Hi there, I'm Vernon! I am a super snuggly sweetheart with the softest, rabbit-like fur you’ll ever touch. I'm a bulldog mix with the cutest underbite, and I'm a total cuddlebug who loves nothing more than curling up close for a nap, or playing joyfully with other dogs. Before rescue, I was surviving as a stray on the streets for months, too scared to trust. When I was finally taken in, I had some serious wounds, but I received wonderful TLC, antibiotics, and love. Now, that's all behind me, and I've healed beautifully, both inside and out. While I may have a serious look, I am gentle, affectionate, and ready to bond deeply with a forever family. I am at my best and most confident when I am with other dogs, and would thrive in a home with canine companions or loving humans who adore snuggles. Now that my rough days are behind me, I'm ready for a soft bed, a full belly, and lots of love—maybe with you?
Ideal Home
I would thrive in a home with canine companions, and I require a fenced yard for containment. An electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment. I would do best in a home with children aged 8 and over.
Ongoing Health
I was heartworm-tested and am on prevention. I am completely vetted, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
Training & Support
I am crate-trained and house-trained.
Application Details:

- We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25.
- A hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $350.
- We do not hold dogs. Please apply when you are ready to proceed.
- A home visit is required.
Transportation
I am located in Kettering, OH. Transportation may be available within a two-hour adoption radius for adult dogs (75 miles for puppies). Exceptions for adult dogs may be made on a case-by-case basis if a home visit can be completed.
