Magnolia

Magnolia, affectionately known as Maggie, is a spirited 8-month-old Rottweiler mix who came to us as a stray and has been in foster care ever since. Two previous adoption attempts didn't work out through no fault of her own. Maggie is a true shadow, always by your side, and has a comical way of sprawling out to measure the room when she's comfortable. Her guilty face when she knows she's done something wrong is simply endearing. However, she has a strong belief that everything is hers to "help" herself to – shoes, rocks, paper towels, and anything else she can get her paws on are fair game. She absolutely adores attention, food, zoomies, and "helping" with gardening by bringing in grass and plants. She also loves her toys!

Ideal Home

Maggie would thrive in a home where she can be your constant companion. She enjoys the company of other dogs and would do best with larger, tolerant canine friends due to her playful but not-so-gentle nature. She may also be fine with a dog-savvy cat. Because Maggie is still learning her manners and can be mouthy when excited, homes with dog-savvy children aged 5 and up would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Magnolia is vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.

Training & Support

Maggie is working on several things, including not barking at everything that passes by the window, calming down before meals, and reducing playful mouthing when excited. She is still working on house training and is not a fan of her crate, though efforts are being made to make it a positive experience. Consistent training and supervision are important, especially given her mischievous tendencies and tendency to explore with her mouth.
