Meet Flora! This beautiful, smart, and energetic girl was rescued from a rooftop in Jarretaderas alongside two other dogs, surviving thanks to the dedication of a local animal welfare officer. Flora has been with us since June 2022, and while she's a wonderful companion, she's best suited for a specific kind of home. She's a high-drive dog who truly thrives with structure, ample space, and an experienced owner who can provide consistent guidance. Flora generally does well with other dogs but prefers to take the lead. The bustling shelter environment can be a bit much for her, but she's a fantastic leash walker and incredibly intelligent, eager to flourish with the right training and a confident leader.
Ideal Home
Flora needs a home with a fenced yard or a large property; apartments or condos are not a good fit for her energetic nature. An experienced adopter who can provide structure and guidance will help her thrive.

Transporation
Flora is located near Bucerias, Mexico. Approved adopters in the US and Canada are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet your new pup at the airport. During the summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, dogs may fly into the US and can be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border with volunteer assistance.
