Meet Rio! This playful pup looks like a walking Oreo cookie and has a personality to match! Rio is a quick learner who loves to train for treats and knows commands like "sit," "come," "down," and "hand target." He's also working on his table manners and sharing, but is happy to entertain with his "zoomies" and love for fetch and tug-of-war. Rio has a lot of fans who compliment his floppy ears, freckled snoot, and feet that might smell like Frito pie (which he thinks is a compliment!). He enjoys car rides but is working on being comfortable with restraints. Bath time and nail trims are no problem for this adaptable boy.

Ideal Home

Rio would do best in a home with a sturdy, chill dog of his size or larger who isn't easily annoyed and can help correct his exuberant play style. He is not a fan of cats and would prefer they not be around. He also enjoys entertaining antics and would thrive with a family that doesn't mind providing extra guidance. Rio can be an only dog, but if you have existing dogs, they should be tolerant of a very energetic youngster.

Rio is a fast learner and loves to train for rewards. He is working on his food possessiveness and dog-on-dog skills. He is crate trained and enjoys car rides but needs continued work on being comfortable with restraints. Rio's foster mom, a professional trainer, is willing to provide guidance to his adoptive family.
