Diego ¡Ándale! ¡Ándale!

¡Ándale! ¡Ándale! That's what Diego says when he's ready for adventure! This energetic and playful boy was found wandering near a busy road in Houston, clearly lost and alone. Thankfully, a kind soul took him in and reached out to us for help. Diego has since been neutered, vaccinated, and completed his heartworm treatment. He's estimated to be 2-3 years old and weighs around 62 pounds.

Ideal Home

Diego would thrive in a home with a yard where he can zoom around to his heart's content. He'd also do best with an owner who understands the energy levels of a Doberman and can provide him with ample physical and mental stimulation. Due to his strong prey drive, Diego cannot live in a home with cats.

Ongoing Health

Diego's ears are cropped but do not stand; they have some scarring along the edges, likely from past infections or attempts to heal. These do not cause him discomfort or require ongoing care.

Training & Support

Diego is crate trained and sees his crate as his "off" switch. He enjoys car rides and meeting new people, and he's generally quiet and observant. He's a playful dog who avoids conflict and gets along with dogs of all sizes. He needs opportunities to burn off energy before settling down.

Transporation

Diego is currently being fostered in Texas. Adoption fees include transport options to the PNW, Midwest, or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states via our pet transport partners.
