Jessie

Jessie is a very sweet, lovable girl who is looking for a new furever home. Her person was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and sadly could no longer care for her, so Jessie is now in a foster home in South Carolina, and time is of the essence! She's a healthy, spayed, 6-year-old girl weighing about 60lbs. Jessie is up-to-date on all her shots, great with people, leash-trained, and crate-trained. She bonds beautifully with her person and will make an excellent home companion.

Ideal Home

Jessie is a loving home companion who bonds deeply with her person. She tolerates being crated, except during thunderstorms. She may benefit from trazadone or a calming supplement and a thunder vest during storms. While Jessie did well with resident dogs and cats in her previous foster home when introduced slowly, any potential housemates should be carefully considered. She may not do well with unfamiliar dogs on the street, so caution is needed when walking her outdoors. Please supervise Jessie when she is in a fenced yard.

Jessie is healthy and up-to-date on all her shots.

Training & Support

Jessie is leash-trained and crate-trained. She may need support during thunderstorms, possibly with calming supplements and a thunder vest. Caution is advised when walking her around unfamiliar dogs.
