Hi, I'm Scoville, and I'm learning just how good the good life can be. I came from a hoarding situation where I lived outside in dirt and mud, so a lot of what I'm experiencing now is still pretty new to me. Thanks to my amazing foster home, I've discovered some of my favorite things: cozy couches, soft beds, and snuggling up close with my people. I've made huge improvements with my house manners, and I'm really proud of how far I've come. I love to play and be silly, and my personality really shines once I'm comfortable. That said, I can still startle easily if there are sudden loud noises or quick movements toward me - I do best with calm, patient humans who understand my past and will let me build confidence at my own pace. I enjoy playing with other dogs, especially ones who match my energy and don't try to boss me around. Funny enough, my favorite play buddies are often dogs two to three times my size! I'd be happy living with another well-matched dog, but I'd also thrive as an only dog where I can soak up all the human attention for myself. I'm crate trained, and because of my background, I feel safest hanging out in my crate when you're away. When it's time to relax, I'm an excellent bed snuggler and would love nothing more than to curl up with you at the end of the day. If you're looking for a sweet, resilient dog who's blossoming more every day and just needs a little patience and a lot of love, I might be your perfect match.
