Lily

Meet Lily! This sweet, loving Shepherd mix is 5 years old and weighs about 65 pounds. She was rescued from Mexico as a puppy and has blossomed into a gentle soul. Lily can be timid at first, but she warms up quickly to people who show her kindness. Her favorite pastime is gazing into your eyes while you gently stroke her face. She also has a wonderfully goofy side – when she gets excited, especially about food or attention, her whole body wiggles with joy as her tail wags!

Lily cherishes quiet moments, enjoying time spent basking in the sun or near an open door, taking in the fresh breeze and the sounds of nature. She loves her walks but is also a bit of a homebody and can get tired on longer hikes or runs. She is not a fan of fireworks and will seek out a safe spot, like a closet or pantry, if she hears them.

Ideal Home

Lily would thrive in a home where she can enjoy peaceful moments and gentle affection. While she hasn't been around cats, she should do well with older children.

Ongoing Health

Lily is spayed, healthy, and up to date on all her vaccines. A couple of years ago, she underwent surgery for a torn ACL ligament and has since recovered well. She experienced some joint pain previously, but this subsided after she reached a healthier weight.

Training & Support

Lily is already house-trained and knows some basic commands. She is highly motivated by food, which can be a great asset in training.
