Cowboy

Cowboy is a brave survivor, a handsome 2-year-old who has overcome unimaginable cruelty. He was found abandoned and injured, having been used as a bait dog. Despite his traumatic past, Cowboy is on the road to recovery, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and undergoing heartworm treatment. He is cautious with other dogs and may do best as the only pet in the home. Cowboy also takes time to warm up to men, but with patience and love, he is sure to blossom. He is looking for a safe and loving forever home where he will never have to fear again.

Cowboy may do best as an only dog, where he can finally feel completely safe and secure. He also takes time to warm up to men, so a home that understands his need for patience and gentle introduction would be ideal.

Cowboy is heartworm positive but has already begun treatment and is on the path to recovery.
