Riggs

Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy nine-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who found himself in a difficult situation with over 40 dogs in a hoarding case. While he was cared for, he didn't get the socialization he needed. Riggs is a natural introvert who prefers a calm approach and time to adjust. He does well with other dogs and cats and would benefit from a confident dog friend in his new home to help him feel secure and learn by example.

Ideal Home

Riggs needs a home with a fenced yard for safety, as he's still adjusting to loud noises and commotion. He would do best with children over 10 who are calm and respectful, as he's not a fan of running, grabbing, or excessive noise. Riggs thrives in a laid-back environment with a dog buddy and people who understand the importance of structure, kindness, and patience for shy dogs to blossom. He also appreciates a consistent indoor temperature of around 72 degrees, so holidays like the Fourth of July might be a challenge!
