Meet Gina!
Gina is a 1-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix who weighs 56lbs. She was found abandoned as a tiny puppy, sleeping in a cardboard box near a busy road. Despite her rough start, Gina is now in a loving foster home and ready to find her forever family! She's a sweet and playful pup who enjoys the company of familiar dog friends and loves a good game of tug-of-war.
Ideal Home
Gina would do best in an active home with someone who will play with her daily. She would thrive with a family that understands how to raise a big, active pup into a well-mannered adult. She does prefer to eat her treats alone. We recommend a cat-free home as she can be a bit too enthusiastic around neighborhood kitties. Because she can be jumpy when excited and is unaware of her size, a home with older, dog-savvy children (10 and up) would be ideal. She would also benefit from having another dog in the home for companionship and to help her burn off energy.
Ongoing Health
Gina is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Gina is house and crate trained and can be crated for up to 8 hours. She walks pretty well on a leash and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She is in the "puppy velociraptor stage" and will need guidance on appropriate chew toys. She is learning to play fetch and can entertain herself with toys. Gina will need regular socialization and positive training to help her grow into a well-mannered adult.
