Mookie

Meet Mookie, a delightful 2-year-old Shih Tzu with a heart full of love to give! This 13 lb bundle of joy is vaccinated and neutered, and thankfully, he's heartworm negative. Mookie is a friendly, playful, and affectionate boy who absolutely adores being around people. He's also great with other dogs and children, making him a wonderful candidate for a family looking for a furry friend.

Ideal Home

Mookie would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of love and attention. He's a great companion for families with other dogs and children. We don't know how he is with cats at this time.

Ongoing Health

Mookie is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been neutered. He is heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Mookie is crate trained and would benefit from additional guidance to become fully housebroken. Coming from a hoarding situation, he may need some patience and time to adjust to his new surroundings, but once he feels secure, his sweet and loving personality truly shines.

• The adoption fee is $600, which includes spay/neuter, rabies, bordetella, DHPP vaccinations, and microchip.
• Please be patient as we are an all-volunteer rescue. We strive to find the best match for both you and the dog.

Transportation

Mookie is currently in McAllen, Texas. He can be transported to the East Coast, primarily serving NJ, NY, PA, CT, RI, VT, and NH. Drop-off locations can be provided. Please note that transport to New York and Philadelphia is not available at this time due to USDA ban.
