Artie

Artie is a charming and loving Shih Tzu mix, approximately 2 and a half years old and weighing 12 pounds. He was found as a stray and, after a much-needed grooming session, revealed himself to be a sweet gentleman eager to find his forever family. Artie is house and crate-trained, and while he enjoys being near his people, he's also content to entertain himself. He's been welcomed on furniture and even in his foster family's bed, where he's shown to be a polite and appreciative companion. Artie doesn't shed, making him a great choice for those with allergies. He's done well with a dog-savvy pre-teen and her friends, giving the sweetest hugs. He enjoys playing with his toys, going for walks, and car rides, always with a go-with-the-flow attitude.

Ideal Home

Artie would thrive in a home with respectful children aged 10 and up, or an adult-only household. He would prefer to be the only pet, allowing him to receive all the love and attention.

Ongoing Health

Artie recently had a dental cleaning and was neutered. He requires regular grooming every 8-10 weeks to maintain healthy skin and coat, and enjoys being brushed several times a week.

Training & Support

Artie is house and crate-trained and is a well-behaved foster guest. He is polite and respectful, and his easy-going nature makes him a joy to have around.
