Spunky is a sweet 5-year-old female Lab mix weighing around 23 lbs, looking for her fresh start and a loving home. She's a "sato" from Puerto Rico, and while she's a bit shy adjusting to new environments, she has a big heart and promises endless love and loyalty. Spunky dreams of trotting through life with the confidence of a well-loved family pet, and with patient, loving humans, she knows she can get there.

Ideal Home

Spunky needs a patient and committed adopter who understands the significant adjustment dogs from Puerto Rico face. She must go to a home with a resident dog who can show her the ropes and help her build confidence. We haven't seen her with cats or children, but we're happy to discuss integration strategies.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned, but as with all dogs from Puerto Rico, they have a major transition to go through upon arrival and will need humans committed to socialization.

Training & Support

Spunky is shy and needs a resident dog to help guide her. She is working on crate training, and Lucky Dog cannot guarantee if she is housebroken.
