Squirt

Squirt is a senior male Retriever mix with a heart of gold and a truly unique story! Rescued as a pup from the Walker River Reservation, he was raised by a feral mother in a den. While Squirt has made incredible progress over the years, he'll always be a bit of a character. He's an independent soul who enjoys doing his own thing, but he's happy to accept pets and enjoys human company. He walks nicely on a leash, is not a barker, and is generally a quiet and well-behaved companion. If you appreciate a dog with a challenging start who just needs a patient and understanding home, Squirt could be your perfect match!

Ideal Home

Squirt would do best in a home where his need for space is respected. He isn't great with other dogs and we are fairly sure he would not enjoy cats. Older children who can understand and respect his personal space should be fine.

Ongoing Health

Squirt is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Squirt will need some help with housebreaking, but he is eager to please and a smart boy, so with consistent positive reinforcement, he’ll catch on quickly!
