Training & Support

Otis is house trained, crate trained, and easy to live with, settling beautifully indoors. His leash manners are lovely too; he walks at an easy pace and prefers peaceful strolls over chaotic adventures. When meeting new people, especially men, Otis needs a little time and thoughtful introductions. He can initially become overwhelmed or shut down if too much attention or handling is placed on him too quickly. He communicates discomfort by giving himself space, shying away from the uncertainty, but he remained gentle even while stressed and is not confrontational. With other dogs, Otis is more aloof than social and tends to prefer calm, confident female dogs. He coexists very respectfully and does not create conflict around food or toys. He was gentle, calm, quietly curious, and very relaxed when meeting the house cat.

A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
